Vino and I haven’t done a lot of activities yet this week, so I thought we should at least check out a playground near us.

We saw Dopamine Land at Sentosa a while back, and while it’s really close to where we live, we haven’t really gotten around to visit it.

I loaded up some laundry and left the house around lunchtime. We dropped something off a couple of things that Che left at home before heading off to Vivo for lunch.

Vino requested for Yakiniku Like, his favorite quick lunch or dinner spot. I grilled meat for him, but opted for veggies as part of detoxing all that holiday food.

We proceeded to go to Sentosa, where Dopamine Land was. Vino and I usually go to these things together – the perks of being a stay-at-home dad.

We’ve been to playgrounds and museums, and Vino enjoyed them just the same because of the stories he makes up while we’re there. In playgrounds, we do role-playing, while look for stories to tell with museum pieces.

Dopamine Land was a mix of both, in some ways. It’s interactive, so we get to play with things. However, each of the nine rooms was designed in a certain way that induces the “feel-good hormone” known as dopamine.

It was good that there weren’t a lot of people around, as it was a weekday, and it wasn’t a school holiday for local schools. We were able to enjoy the rooms by ourselves at times, and only had to share it with maybe 2-3 people the rest of the time.

After we went through all the rooms, we did a VR rollercoaster. It wasn’t all that exciting, but at least Vino finally agreed to get on one. Maybe we could do more exciting ones later on before I try to get him on a theme park ride.

Before heading home, we thought about going to the Harry Potter attraction at Resorts World, but I quickly shut it down after we learned that it would be 90SGD for the two of us.

We got home just in time for the cleaner to come over. We ordered delivery food so that there wouldn’t be much of a mess in the kitchen while the cleaner was there.

It was a pretty fulfilling day, as we got to explore something outside the house. I’m still aiming to teach Vino how to ride the bike so hoprefully we still have time for it over the next couple of days.
