It’s a holiday for Vino, and Che decided to take most of the day off, but it was spent mostly at home.
I had a rare night out, as I got invited to a birthday party of one of my basketball league teammates. I saw other guys from my basketball group and we had a bit of fun drinking and playing darts and ping pong. Once the venue closed, we talked about heading over to a karaoke place, and the other guests were also very eager to go.
I guess we enjoyed it a little too much, as we finished around 2am, when the place closed. I went home with some friends who lived nearby. One of the guys who lived near my block was a lot more drunk than I was, so I walked him home. It took a while because I didn’t know where his block was, and he was too drunk to navigate us properly.
We somehow got him home, though, and I went back home well. Che wasn’t able to sleep much, which led to a bit of a headache for her next day.
I slept in and got up around 10am. Vino woke me up when he woke up, but I heard Che tell him to let me sleep in. I think it’s the first time in a long time that I didn’t get up with Vino.
We spent much of the day just lounging on the couch while Vino played with his friends online. We were able to finish the Filipino series we were watching, What Lies Beneath.
We started watching it in the Philippines when we visited, and we continued to watch it when we got back here. We didn’t know that it wasn’t done yet, so at some point, we caught up to the latest episodes. We had to wait for some episodes to come out.
We ordered in for lunch and dinner, so not much work was done in the kitchen. It was mainly a day of rest and recovery for us.
At nighttime, Che and Vino had book time, which we wanted him to try to incorporate into his daily routines. Meanwhile, I was writing the blog, so we played music on the TV. When I was done, I asked if I could play on the PS5, but Vino decided he wanted to play himself.
We spent the rest of the night watching him play until he got tired.
When we went back to the room, it didn’t take long for both Che and Vino to fall asleep. It was uneventful, but a much-needed day of just resting for all of us.
