Start of the new week, but nothing really special to be excited about except maybe Vino’s goalkeeper training.
I prepared the usual things in the morning, and while sitting with Vino on the dining table, I asked him what he wanted for dinner. I suggested adobo, but he wasn’t really keen on it.
After taking him to school, I went to the nearby supermarket to check out what I could possibly cook. I saw some coconut milk and thought maybe we could have some Binagoongan.
It doesn’t have a lot of ingredients, and I have most of it at home anyway. Got some meat, eggplants, tomatoes, and the coconut milk and off I went.
With Vino having goalkeeper training and Che probably hungry by the time it finishes, I prepared the food so that we’d only have to heat it for dinner.
However, after chopping the eggplant, I saw a worm and decided against using the whole batch. It was not a big deal, as it will be added on later anyway.

I picked up Vino from school, and I learned that there was a different pickup arrangement already, which will be the norm until the end of the schoolyear.
We went home first as there was still a lot of time before the training happens.
The goalkeeper training was pretty good. Unlike the team training where they do drills that try to make them aware of their surroundings and practice their passing skills, this one was pretty straightforward.
All the drills they do are things that they can use while they are protecting the goal. I haven’t seen these kids jump the way they did during practice matches. Even Vino’s elbow got scratched jumping for the ball.
It was just a one-hour session, so I told Che not to rush anymore and just finish her stuff.
There’s going to be a lot of travel arrangements that Che needs to organize in the coming months, including ours. We thought we had them planned out already, but there were plenty of uncontrollable factors that affected our original plans.
Anyway, after she arranged that, it was at least one thing less to worry about in her seemingly endless checklist of things to do.
We had dinner at home and tried to sleep early. Che asked what I did this day, and I guess there really wasn’t much to it.
It’s kind of monotonous, really, but I knew that already. The houseband life is a busy one, but discovering a new way to fold clothes is not really a breakthrough for the day that’s as exciting as shooting down a demanding co-worker.
I mean, not that I made that discovery (yet), but you get what I mean.
I think I can break the monotony in some days by doing something outside of routine. Coloring my hair is apparently a no-go, as per Che. But I have other ideas on what I should do.
Maybe in a couple of days I’ll get back to running/walking outside.
