It’s a public holiday on Friday, so I thought I could take Vino out after school.
The challenge of having to prep meals for Vino’s lunch everyday is thinking about what to make for him. As much as possible, I don’t want to repeat the same thing in the same week just to keep things exciting for him.

We had some leftover rice so I made fried rice for him to kind of force-feed veggies to him. He never had problems with veggies, but in his first week in school, he mentioned that some of his classmates were grossed out when he ate peas. While he said he didn’t mind them, I have a feeling that it somehow got to him.
I’m trying to get it back into his diet, so whenever I can incorporate it in his lunch, I try to do so. Fried rice and meatballs are the easy options for doing those.
He woke up with not a lot of fuss, and he ate breakfast with a happy energy and he wasn’t too sleepy.
After taking him to school, I just caught up with some transcript cleaning and a bit of doomscrolling to keep my mind occupied and empty at the same time.
When I picked up Vino, he asked to play in the “hamster cage” as they called it. I’d usually let him just run around there, especially if it’s not too sunny and we don’t have anything important we need to do.
On this day, he played with one of his classmates while I waited. They stopped at their own time, and Vino and I headed to Star Vista.
So back in my birthday, Che got me a go-kart session. Vino wanted to try it himself, but there was no tandem kart session available that day. He wanted to visit on a different day, but that thing was a bit expensive.
Che told me about Star Vista having a small track on its activity area, so I planned on taking Vino there so he can drive on his own.
When we got there, I remember that they had something like this set up maybe three or four years ago. Back then, I had to drive Vino around the track. This time, we were hoping we could take separate cars.
Unfortunately, the guys told me that either we ride in the same kart or only Vino could play.
The goal was to make him experience it, so I deferred and let him try it out.
He bumped the sides one time and hit one of the parked cars hard, but other than that, it was a smooth ride.

It was still early, but there was an Ippudo in Star Vista and I didn’t order it for him the other day.
Vino loves ramen, and sadly for our wallets, Ippudo is his preference. We tried others, but he doesn’t enjoy it quite like Ippudo. I’m not sure if it was a missed opportunity for us not to have tried it in Japan, but we never ate at a ramen shop that we didn’t like when we were there.
From what I gather from all the ramen I made him try, he’s a tonkotsu broth kind of guy. He’s consistently eaten a lot when it’s this type of ramen.
Ippudo had a promotion where he would play rock-paper-scissors and if he won, he would get his juice for free. A draw will be half price, while losing means we pay full price.
Vino lost in the one-round game so we had to pay full price for his drink.
We dropped by the supermarket for some things before going back home. We cleaned up a a bit because Che is back the next day. We had dinner and turned in for the night.
I wanted to watch the new Captain America movie that dropped on Disney, but I had to explain a lot of things to Vino, so I figured we had to get back to Endgame. I still got a lot of questions from him, so I decided we start at Infinity War.
He didn’t get to finish Endgame, as he fell asleep not long since the movie started.
It will be the last day of the week before we welcome Che back again tomorrow.
