No plans are sometimes the best plans.
Today was the opening of Christian and his brother’s new venture, 10 Plates. It’s an all-day family buffet concept situated at where Privilegio used to be. It’s open from 11am to 9pm everyday with lunch and dinner service.
We intended to go, but Vino woke up late and Che really hasn’t had rest yet. Kali said they will be going and asked if he can take Neo to our place to swim later on. Knowing that they will come to us later, we decided to just stay in.
With this chance of staying home, we started watching a new K-Drama, Good Boy. We actually started this sometime ago, but the pace was really slow and I guess we both either fell asleep or did something else. As we picked up from where we left off, it started to get interesting.
Kali arrived to drop Neo off at around 3pm and I took the boys swimming. I thought about joining them, but the pool was full of kids and Vino was actually practicing his swimming skills while playing with Neo. At some point, they had a backstroke race.
Che went down to lounge on the sun bed. While there, she ordered some snacks for the kids and some ice cream for us.
We went back to the room to chill. The kids played together on their gadgets while Che and I continued watching our K-Drama. Kali went over later on, as I said there is some leftover alcohol from their previous visit.
It’s a rare chance to talk about life and whatnot. The last time we visited the PH, we spent a lot of time with this core group of friends. However, since we stayed here in BGC this time around, we weren’t able to get together as much because of the distance and the traffic, of course.
We slow-drank our way through the night, and they had to go back to their hotel because Arianne and Inno were hungry. We decided to come with them so that we could walk for a bit.
We picked up two takeout boxes and stayed a bit to catch up with Arianne. Girl was tired from training as well, but graciously welcomed us to their room. We didn’t stay long, as we were going to meet next day for Che’s early birthday celebration at lunchtime.
From there, we walked back to enjoy some fresh air. BGC was bustling with people even at 11pm.
We capped off the night by finishing an episode of Good Boy while Vino and Neo continued to play together via Discord.
We’ve stayed for a whole month already, but we haven’t really seen a lot of people and not a lot of playdate. I think this day was an ideal day for us if kids were still on vacation here and the weather permitted things to happen.
It’s a bit late for Vino to experience it, but at least he’s enjoying this stretch of his school break.
