Vino is attending another party, so we used the time to go on a date.
Che is set for another work trip next week, so we made the most of our time together.
We always find time to talk, but with her being busy these past few weeks, I try to hold out on the mundane things for moments like these when we have more time to burn. Sometimes, I almost forget which ones I’ve told her already.
On work, she told me that she is at least keeping it together for now, but there will be more challenges coming in these next few weeks. I’m just hoping that Vino and I being with her for most of that time will at least give her some peace.
Sleeping with Vino sometimes comes with its challenges. He rolls over the bed a lot, so we are sometimes left with practically no space to sleep on.
While it’s uncomfortable at times, it’s an important norm in our sleeping habits. So when either of us is away on a trip, even big beds are uncomfortable because we sleep alone in it.
We talked about what was going on in our lives recently, caught each other up about people we caught up with, saw a couple of bargains, and just laughed at the most stupid things.
It’s always nice to see her laugh, whether it’s true laughter or an irritated one because my joke was just so bad.
Meanwhile, Vino played on a lava floor game with his friends and proceeded to a playground. We were informed later that they were eating already, and we could pick Vino up soon.
The birthday boy was apparently heading over to a friend’s house, and Vino asked if he could join them.
I was fine with it, but when Che told Vino that maybe they should get together some other time, I heard Vino say “no!” in a playful, but somehow loud shout.
Just for that, I didn’t want him to go. I didn’t want him to get something he wanted while doing that to us.
But Che didn’t catch that and didn’t feel that he was being a brat about it, so we let him go.
We suddenly had another couple of hours of extra date time with nothing really planned. We saw that there was a food exhibition in Takashimaya, but while it looked interesting, the foot traffic was not.
I suggested we get a massage, but as it was a Sunday afternoon, our go-to spot was fully booked.
We tried a couple more spots, but couldn’t find one to our liking. In the end, we decided to just hit up the pocha near Holland.
It’s a korean tent bar concept, and we thought ordering a couple of snacks would be great to pass the time.
We had teokbboki, oden, and saw what looked like tangsuyuk ordered by a neighboring table. We ordered it to bring home and have that as dinner.
We picked up Vino and went straight home. Che had to pack up her stuff while Vino had dinner. We had a lot of snacks while waiting for Vino, so we really didn’t feel like eating dinner anymore.
Che wanted to sleep early, but she’s not one to just lie down if she feels there are still things to do or clean up. Ultimately, both Che and Vino dosed off around 10:30PM, which was not ideal because Che had a 7AM flight while Vino had school.
Still, it’s our normal. At least before we start the new week, everything is just as it should be.
