After spending an extra day in Jeju, we practically had one day left in Seoul to get the stuff we needed to buy for people who asked for particular stuff.
Our flight was at 10:15am, and while the boarding gate closes around 30 minutes before departure time for domestic flights, we decided to go at bit earlier. The skies were clearing up, certainly better than yesterday, but it still had a certain gloom.
Thankfully, there were no flight cancellations this day, or it was minimal compared to yesterday. However, the airport was packed with people flying out, presumably because of what happened the day before.
After getting through the craziness of the queue, we went to find our gate. It was a smooth one-hour flight to Seoul.
We arrived around lunchtime, so I said we should maybe grab a bite first before heading over to the hotel.
We found a food court after getting our luggage. Vino wanted some noodles, and there was only one shop selling non-spicy noodles. When the order arrived, we were shocked at how enormous the serving was.
After lunch, we went to find the Uber pickup point so we could head over to the hotel. We got our room and put our bags down before heading out. It was our last day to buy stuff for people who asked, so we made the most of our time.
We headed off to Hongdae for beauty products, and had a quick snack while searching for the items. Che wanted to pick up something from Lotte Mall in Jamsil, and she said we could split up. I said it would be a waste of cab money if we took separate cars, so I asked Vino to be a bit more patient and put off going home first.
When we got into the car, we saw that our ETA was about an hour. We didn’t realize that it would be that far, but we’re on the way already, so we took it as a chance to rest.
Heading back was a lot easier, so we figured it was probably the rush hour traffic that made it longer than it should be.
Back at the hotel, we met with Kathreen and JP, who would be staying with us in the hotel. We had a nice family dinner together with a great view of the Han river. On this night, there was going to be a light show around our part of the river, so we hoped that we could get a view of it from where we were having dinner.
As luck would have it, we had a great view of the drone show.
Good food, great view, and excellent company welcomed back to Seoul, and we couldn’t ask for more.
