It was a busy Saturday with an event in the morning and visitors coming over in the evening.

I’m usually tasked with transcribing interviews in the ring and interviewing fighters via Zoom backstage.

For the eight-fight card, I was waiting on four fighters to interview, but several circumstances led to just one interview.

So the morning was mainly for the event, which I watched together with my Snorly Snorlax. I got him from a claw machine the day before and is a stuffed toy that I said I will get from a claw machine if I get the chance.

Che is still recovering from a very busy and tiring week, so she chose to just rest for most of the day.

For me, I have been putting off physical activities the previous week, both by choice and by circumstance. So I told the guys who were coming over in the evening to play basketball first.

I arrived with people already playing, so I waited for my turn in the second game.

By the time the second game started, there were 10 of us already, so all of us got to replace the first game guys.

It was a good back-and-forth game, and by the time we finished, Bones and Bryan were ready for the third game. Some of the guys left already, so there was a free spot to play in the third game.

Thankfully, one of the regular guys let me play.

There was a lot of running and I felt tired at some point, and we ultimately lost by a basket.

Everyone was tired, but some of the guys still wanted to play, so we pressed on to play another game. We weren’t able to finish the game though, as one of the players had cramps.

After three games, Steph Curry shoes has only given me one made three-pointer in a game. I thought I was feeling good about my shooting during warm-ups, but it didn’t really translate to in-game shooting.

When I checked my phone, our pizza delivery was apparently calling me because I didn’t put the unit number in. The guy was a little angry that I called an hour after he delivered the thing.

Che got the pizza from the mailbox area, but we lost one to ants.

Off we went to our house. Bones wanted to sing karaoke, which is why I ended up volunteering my place.

Jek came later, as his family was here and they visited Universal Studios.

While we were talking, Vino took the microphone and made random noises. So to make better use of the microphone, I let him sing instead.

Bones is one of the OG guys I met through basketball here in SG. Meanwhile, I met Bryan and Jek in my Mobile Legends era.

At the height of it, we were about 15-20 strong in the group chat. We were big enough to make night-time custom tournaments back then.

I don’t know how it actually ended. I guess it died a natural death with some people leaving SG and others just deciding it was no longer a part of their lives. For me, it was just too long of a game, and I disconnect from everyone for about 30 minutes while I played.

Bones stopped as well, Jek and Bry continued to play. At some point in the night, we ended up playing about four games together.

We ended our night at around 2 or 3 AM. Honestly, I don’t remember a lot of details of things we talked about, but I would probably remember it if someone pointed it out.

I saw them off downstairs as they booked their ride and I went straight to bed.

The question will be if I will get a hangover the next day. But that’s a future me problem. At least present me was satisfied with the full day.
