It’s Saturday, which usually means I get to play basketball in the morning if it doesn’t rain, but we also had a couple of activities today.

In continuing my fitness journey, I went to play basketball in the morning as my daily exercise. I don’t usually run, but for some reason, I was teamed up with a team that required me to play the off-guard position, so I needed to run more than I usually do.

I got two three pointers in, which kinda felt like breaking the curse of my shoes, but we still lost.

After the game, I went home to do calisthetics and got ready to leave for Vino’s dental appointment.

Vino listens well to people of authority. We’ve tried limiting his juice and candy intake to no avail, but when it was the dentist who told him, he immediately stopped. He’s also very cooperative with the dentist, which I appreciate, because not all kids are this easy.

We then went to Suntec to meet up with one of Che’s old colleagues, Kim. If Steph was our practice baby, Kim was our practice teenager. She’s a lot more outgoing than Steph, so I guess that’s why I attributed it to teenage issues.

It’s been a while since we last caught up, so it was nice to see her doing well. She even put on a bit of weight, which looks good on her.

Vino had a birthday party to attend, so we dropped him off before parting ways with Kim.

Che and I had a bit of time for ourselves for a couple of hours. It’s kind of a wellness thing for me as well because we were able to talk freely. It’s like talking to a therapist.

We went back to pick Vino up and went home. It was packed and tiring, but I feel like we’re a bit better today than we were yesterday in a lot of aspects of our lives.
