It’s back to our normal routines this day, save for Che not being here yet.
I got up early because I didn’t have anything prepared for Vino’s lunch. I got him some chicken nuggets for breakfast and a sausage for lunch, both with a side of eggs.
It’s a bit of a lazy choice, I feel like, and it’s a lot of processed food. However, when thinking about breakfast, I usually default to these things.
At least, there’s a bit of variety to his food for breakfast and lunch.
It was a bit difficult to get a ride going to school, probably because it was a Monday. As a result, despite him waking up pretty quickly, we still ended up late for school.
Vino requested speicfically that I buy him bananas so that I could make him his peanut butter and banana bread snack. On my way back, I stopped by the supermarket to buy bananas.
When I reached the stop near our house, the next bus was going to take a longer time. I decided to walk over to the hawker nearby to get some breakfast.
The place I got laksa nad fishball noodles last time was closed, so I went around to look for other options. I saw one that had a queue, but there was another where I didn’t have to wait, so I went there.
I’d say it does the job, but it wasn’t as good as the other stalls.
I went back home and wanted to do some housekeeping, but I ended up just crashing on the bed while doomscrolling.
I got up to write the blog and clean up a bit, before I rushed to head over to Vino. I was there just in time, but he wasn’t showing up. I realized then that he had football club this day.
For the past two weeks, he wasn’t able to attend Monday classes. The first one he missed was because we arrived late from our flight. The next week, he wasn’t feeling well. I guess I got so used to routine that I forgot that I needed to pick him up at a later time on Mondays.
He had a lot of energy to share his day, so I’m happy that he’s still excited to go to school. We got a cab heading home, as she was a bit tired from this CCA.
At home, I cooked beef with brocolli for dinner with the intention of saving some for his lunch tomorrow.
We also scheduled a cleaner to come this day, so she was cleaning as we were having dinner.
After everything got done, Vino and I retreated to the room to try and sleep early. I wanted to watch Hell’s Kitchen, but Vino said he also wanted to watch it. It was around 11pm when he slept.
Meanwhile, Che was in the same flight timing as we had last night, and arrived around 12 midnight – which was the same time we got home.
We caught up for a bit about what happened on her last day, but she really needed to rest already.
The day ended with all of us back on the same bed, so at least we could all rest easy.
