I’ve meant to exercise at least once this week, but I haven’t gotten around to it. Today was not going to be one of those days.
We had a cleaner come over in the morning, so I went home immediately after taking Vino to school. I went to write the blog in the office and talked to some friends while the cleaner went around the house.
When she left, I decided to leave early so that I’ll be near Vino’s school to eat. Of course, I went to my go-to Indian place.
I stupidly ordered two pratas again, thinking that one was going to be small. I feel like one should always be enough, and a murtabak is too much for me already.
The curry in this stall is always a treat – not too spicy, but very flavorful. I say I eat Indian food, but I mainly eat this combination and not much else. I want to try, but every time I go to an Indian restaurant, I fall back to either prata or murtabak.
I think I’d be able to explore more if I had someone adventurous. I did try pani puri once, but that was in a shop of Che’s colleague’s boyfriend in Vietnam.
I took my time to eat since it was only 2pm and I can’t pick him up until it’s 3pm.
We were out pretty quick, and the bus arrived early as well.
At home, it was just the two of us again. He’d call his friends, but when he’s not talking to anyone, he would want to stay and watch stuff with me.
He loves looking for a reaction from me whenever something happens on the show that we’re watching. He asked for a snack and I found some microwave popcorn in our pantry. For someone who’s learned how to cook, you’d think this was going to be easy, but it was not.
Our microwave is a bit small, so when the pack opens up, it stops spinning inside. Because of this, the kernels don’t pop evenly. The microwave’s power might also be an issue, because it was set on low. It took 3 packs before I finally got a proper pack to pop.
We watched Stranger Things, and now we’re on Season 4. He was away from his tablet, so I tried to stay away from mine so that we could watch together.
I like this age for him. He’s still a kid, but he sometimes speaks and thinks like an adult. He’s still small enough for me to carry, but old enough for me to wake him up so he could walk by himself if I’m carrying too many things.
I’m going to miss this phase of his life, like I sometimes miss his younger version when I look at photos. But this age is when I could play games with him that I genuinely enjoy as an adult. It was fun playing kiddie games, but it was so I could hear his laugh.
Now, he reacts a bit too much when playing, which is sometimes annoying, but that’s how most of the kids his age play games these days.
We can also watch proper movies or series now that doesn’t start with the Cocomelon theme song.
Anyway, when Stranger Things got weird and scary for him, we switched to Mr. Beast videos on Prime Video.
He was very much looking forward to dinner, because I told him we don’t need something that he could eat for lunch tomorrow, so Ippudo it was.
We went back to the room to try to sleep early, but we got a little too invested in a couple of videos.
We’ll see Che tomorrow, so at least this would be the last night we won’t be sleeping together.
