I bought hamburger buns because Vino requested for a burger for lunch to start the week. Now I’ve got a bunch of burger buns and a loaf of sliced bread, and not a lot of days to use them all.
I told Vino that this was going to be bread day. I made him bread pizza that featured pizza sauce, cheese, ham, cheese, and pineapple for breakfast and snacks. For lunch, I made him a cheeseburger with Cheetos on the side.
He was able to finish one pizza bread for breakfast before we left for school.
I was supposed to go to Tampines to pick up a Carousell purchase, but I opted to go back home since Che was going to be working from there. She had a couple of meetings in the morning, and then she was off to make preparations for a party she’ll be attending and helped organize later in the day.
After her meetings, we had a quick lunch date to catch up a bit. We bought fruits for her party and for Vino before proceeding to Tonkatsu Ma Maison at Tiong Bahru.
It’s been a busy week for her, and we barely had time to talk to each other.
She contemplated on doing slides for our plans for this year, but I cautioned her that it might be an additional burden for her. After all, I’m not really good with Excel and any plans we may have largely depend on her capacity. Where she goes, we go, and I’m just doing my part to keep our home a safe haven for her.
We parted ways from there, as I needed to go pick Vino up from school. She was going to be late, so I told Vino it will be a boys’ night.
There were talks of going to the pottery studio to get his vase and paint it, as well as an option to eat out. To the surprise of absolutely no one, we stayed at home instead.
I crashed on the bed first, but a couple of boxes of wine arrived, so I thought I needed to get on that. I filled the wine chiller and decided to clean up so that it’s not crazily disorganized when Che arrives later.
For dinner, Vino requested for Jolly Hotdog to complete bread day for him. He also asked for peach mango pie for dessert.
As for myself, I opted for a burger steak meal with two pieces of chickenjoy. I didn’t know that such a combo existed, but I’m happy that it does. I got all the Jollibee goodness in one full meal.
There wasn’t a lot to wash, so retreated to the room early. I wanted to let him a classic comedy movie, and we started with Scary Movie.
It’s been a while since I watched it, and I didn’t realize that it wasn’t really for kids. We moved to The Wedding Singer, which was a bit milder.
However, it took a long while to build up to the comedy, and I fell asleep twice. I told Vino he should sleep as well, as it was nearing midnight.
He went to his own bed and slept there. I watched Running Man, and then switched to Swagger when I didn’t want to read subtitles anymore.
It’s an Apple Original series that I watched post-pandemic. I didn’t realize there’s a second season already, so I’m catching up to it.
Che arrived about 2am while I was still watching the show. She was tired from everything that transpired, so we drifted to sleep shortly after.
It’s a weekend with birthday parties for Vino, so we’ll have at least a couple of hours to maybe try and clean up at home while he’s away.
