After an unplanned two-day hangout with the Team, we were all going back to our regular lives.
We slept relatively early the night before, so everyone got ready a lot earlier than yesterday. One by one, we gathered at the dining area and got things ready for leaving.
When Rey, the host, came down, it was our chance to say goodbye so that the others could still get to work by lunch time. We were the last to go, but got caught with sharing some stories with Rey.
It was then we decided to just take a shower before leaving so that we can head straight to Opus for our 3pm meet up with Lara.
We didn’t get to have breakfast because we thought we were leaving early, so we got hungry on the drive. It wasn’t that far, but traffic in our area was bad. I feel like it’s a combination of lack of discipline and public transport vehicles stopping anywhere they want.
When we reached opus, we went to a K-BBQ place that Che tried before.
I think we over-ordered a bit, as we were already full but there was meat still being cooked in the kitchen. The meat was fine, I think it’s thicker than the usual K-BBQ places here in Manila.
Their bibimbap could use a lot more veggies, though. I get that you want to maximize profits, but what’s another 50g of veggies?
We went around the department store for a bit to get gifts for Lara, Rodel, and Elon, then we saw each other at Dave & Busters so that the mommies could talk while the kids and I played.
The arcade was the most ideal place for us to play at because Elon probably wouldn’t be able to play billiards or darts yet.
It’s pretty expensive, though. The card sells for 1000 pesos, and they upsold me to buy the 1500 one since it’s 250 pesos off. When we finished or credits, I wanted to load 100 pesos, but was told that 500 was the minimum I could reload with.
We all had fun playing different games, and by the end of it, we got 600 tickets. It was enough to get two squeezy balls, so at least both of them got something for the day.
We went around the mall for a little bit before we headed home to my parents’ house. Again, not so far, but traffic had us traveling for almost an hour. I had to stop over at a Jollibee for our dinner at home.
When we got home, we caught up with my mom and my sister while eating dinner. Then Che had to work her magic to re-arrange our luggages for the next few days before we turned in for the night.
Plans are very fluid right now, so we’ll see where tomorrow brings us again.
