We’re moving to the final hotel of this leg of our trip, as and we took it as a chance to spend the day outside.
There was no agenda in the morning apart from checking out, so Che and Vino took their sweet time on the bed. I woke up around 7am and thought it was too early to get up so I closed my eyes a bit more.
Around 8am, I got up to have a bit of a run. I went down to the gym to get on the treadmill at least.
I know that there will be plenty of chances to eat while I’m here in the PH, so I thought sneaking in some workout while I’m here would help me at least maintain my current weight and not drastically increase it.
It was a good 30-minute run, and I went up to freshen up. After I got done, I saw that Vino and Che were still enjoying their sleep, so I decided to go up for breakfast. I know that it’s only until 10:30am, so I went to eat because, again, free.
I was told that the buffet for the weekend was until 11am, so I thought Che and Vino could still follow. As of 10:45am, Vino was still sound asleep, so I told them I’d just bring down bread for them.
We got ready and left the hotel for Che’s 1pm lunch with a friend at Rockwell. While we were on the way, we thought about inviting Tia over so that Vino had someone to play with.
We picked her up and went to Rockwell. We were quite late for Che’s lunch out, but we made it before 2pm at least. I got Vino and Tia with me for lunch.
Ten asked Tia to send her photos of the “happy” day out, so of course I got the kids to take a bunch of “sad” photos just for fun.
We had lunch at Ippudo, then walked around to look for our missing items for the Christmas party tomorrow. In the process, we stopped over at a toy store and played at the arcade.
Once we got all that done, we went to find Che to check in to Novotel nearby. By this time, it was already 6pm.
There wasn’t much to do in the hotel as we were all tired from walking around for much of the day. We ordered delivery dinner instead of room service – thank God for this wonderful technology of delivery service because hotel food is quite expensive.
Vino wanted Jollibee, which Tia agreed to. But I somehow craved inasal which Che agreed to.
I love Mang Inasal because of the value for money and the unlimited rice. But flavor-wise, Che said that Bacolod Chicken Inasal was superior. When I was ordering from the menu, I remembered why I never order from that restaurant – there are too many good things i want to eat.
Apart from the inasal, there was molo, La Paz Batchoy, ensaladang talong, and a lot more. By the end of it, we had the ensaladang talong, sotanghon, and molo as sides for the inasal.
The kids and I played a bit more while waiting for Tia to be picked up by Chiro. Back in the hotel, we just chilled and got ready to sleep. Before Che and I went to bed, Kathreen said she was going to drop by because she hadn’t slept yet since arriving here from Korea at 5am.
I picked her up downstairs before we all got some rest as we get ready for a new day tomorrow.
