Che is back today from a weeklong workshop away, but we didn’t get a lot of photos together. At least we’re living in the real world, right?
Vino asked to be woken up early, and I told him I’d do so by about 7am so he could have a bit more sleep. I was surprised that he woke up by himself about five minutes to seven, completing a week where we had no issues waking up in the morning.
He has always been excited for school, so we never really had issues waking him up. It helps that he wakes up around 7am or so, unlike when I went to school and had to wake up at 5am. However, it had been increasingly difficult to wake him up over the past few months. We’d take maybe 5-10 minutes before he actually gets up from bed.
I prepared sausages for breakfast and some meatballs for his lunch, so it was a fairly easy prep. I sent the final update photo for Che because she was coming home later.
After bringing Vino to school, I got some groceries because I kept watching these Korean banchan videos, and I figured I should do some so we can have some more veggies in our lives.
I cleaned up a bit so that Che would arrive to a clean house. I scheduled a demo for our Styler at 12-3pm so I had to wait for the guy.
While waiting, I tried to do a cucumber and spinach banchan.
It’s fairly easy to make, so I think I’ll be doing this quite often. I put down a recipe, and will wait on Che’s feedback so that I know how to make it moving forward where we can both enjoy it.
Samsung guy arrived and gave me a rundown of functions of the Styler. It was pretty much self-explanatory, but I had a couple of questions for him that I prepared, such as caring for it and if we can plug it into an extension cord (the answer was yes) so that we could be more flexible in positioning it.
I recorded our session, but I don’t think it really helps much. At least I got the basics of it, so we’ll just figure it out later on.
Che went straight to Vino’s school where we picked him up. He was playing with his friends, so we had to wait a little bit before he spotted us. He was excited to see his mom, and he jumped right at her.
We went home for some snacks before heading over to footbal practice. Che said she’ll stay behind to get some rest and get dinner ready for us. I insisted that we order in so that she doesn’t have to move, but she said she’ll do it.
Over at football training, I was able to shoot some hoops while Vino trained and I went back in time for their practice match. The kids have improved a lot, and they’re moving a bit better now on the field.
There was a new Japanese kid who was six years old. He was supposed to join the smaller kids, but his skill level was way above those kids, and I daresay better than some of the kids in Vino’s current age group. I feel like he’d be a menace in a couple of years’ time.
Meanwhile, Vino played goalkeeper as per usual, and had plenty of good saves. However, I guess he got kind of bored because there was not much action going on in his side of the field, as his team was constantly attacking the other goal.
He asked to play on the field, so coach became the goalkeeper for their team. Vino still moves a bit awkwardly on the field. I think he needs to work on his court awareness more. Despite his flaws, he was able to knock in a goal, which he was very excited about.
On our way home, Che told me that she just woke up and she ordered delivery food for us.
It was fine, because she was really tired from everything that happened. We ate good food, and had a quick nightcap before retreating to the room.
The bed was a bit tight again because it’s the three of us again, but I wouldn’t have it any other way.
