Most of this day was going to be spent on a plane, but we’ll be home by the end of the long ride.
We had an early start to our day, so I went down for my last triangle onigris for this trip. Since my first trip to Korea, these things have been my sustenance for mornings when we don’t have hotel breakfasts. Singapore and Philippines sometimes have them, but they’re not as good as the variety of flavors I get from Korea.
It was a bit of a struggle to get Vino up, but he cooperated enough to say goodbye to everyone and walk over to our car.
The drive was about an hour long, so we were still able to catch a bit of sleep while also registering for the Smart Pass for the immigration counters.
At the check-in counters, we again tried to inquire if there were available business class seats so that we could sit together, but there were none. It was fine, because I would just sleep through most of the seven-hour journey anyway.
With both Che and Vino having upgraded seats, I at least had access to the lounge. Of course, I was going to make the most out of it.
We chanced upon the Duty Free shop that sold scents, which is one of Che’s obsessions now. During this trip, she didn’t really shop for anything, but she did get a couple of scents to add to her collection.
A guy offered a scent card of Creed Aventus, which Vino said he likes. He even said he’s “addicted” to it after getting a whiff of the scent a couple of times. The last time we bought a Creed scent, we got Silver Mountain Water, which became a favorite because Che liked it.
I don’t really mind scents, and I don’t have particular favorites. However, if Che finds something that smells good on me, I would be inclined to take it. After all, she will be the one who will be smelling me from up close, so better to get fragrances that won’t make her dizzy.
I remember not being particularly fond of Aventus, but now that Vino offered his opinion, I was inclined to give it another shot. We sprayed two different fragrances and asked him which he liked more, and he was consistent in picking Aventus, so we took it.
Even if I won’t be riding with them in the good seats, I’m happy that I got to have a new fragrance at a fraction of the price of a seat upgrade.
In the plane, I watched Bad Guys 2 sporadically – I kept falling asleep, so I had to rewind it quite a few times. I think I got the whole story, though. It’s a fun series of movies and short flicks with some surprisingly good moral lessons.
I enjoyed my meal and watched parts of the new Naked Gun movie featuring Liam Neeson. The movie is stupid, but that’s what Naked Gun was all about. It’s not for everyone, but I think people who enjoyed the corny antics of Leslie Nielsen in the original movies would have fun with this one.
After watching the movies and getting enough sleep, I took the time to write the blog. I realized only when I opened my laptop that I got to four pages with the last one. I thought there weren’t a lot of things to talk about on that day, but I guess I was bored on the flight.
We reached Singapore around 7pm, which was enough time to settle in at home and get ready for regular programming on Monday. Yep, it’s back to the land where 7pm still has a bit of bright skies.
We had delivery food for dinner, and back to our K-Drama watching now that we’re away from Korea. We’re on Our Movie now on Disney.
Vino has been absent from school for the past week, and we don’t really have time to adjust his sleeping patterns from our trip to school mode.
For me, I needed a bit more time to figure out how to make Vino’s tablet more school-friendly. After his mishap with his other tablet, he no longer has a separate tablet for school and play. As such, I set up his school tablet with the games he still plays, but I need to remove them during school hours.
I turned in after figuring it out, but I’m crossing my fingers that it will actually work the way I want it to when he brings it to school tomorrow.
