When given the choice, Che and Vino would always choose to stay at home instead of heading out to do something.

It’s a good attitude to have when it has been a tiring week, which is probably the case for both of them, with work and school. For weekends, I take it as an opportunity to do stuff in the morning while they both rest up.

My basketball group confirmed that some guys would be playing in the morning. It’s not going to be as busy as Saturday mornings, so I thought I could go and play.

However, as I tried to get up, Vino pulled my arm to him, using it as a pillow. It was about 10-15 minutes of him tossing and turning, but still keeping my arm on him.

He woke up briefly to say, “I’m sorry I got so much laway on you.”

Needless to say, I wasn’t able to play. But I’ll always trade that for more time to be with him in bed.

When I was younger, I always thought I moved too much when I slept. I never thought that I’d be able to sleep with anyone, but I didn’t hurt Che when we slept on the same bed, so that was good. When we had Vino, I was so scared I’d crush him, but I guess my body just adjusted to having him there.

Now, it’s difficult to sleep at night without him beside me.

Anyway, I needed to move because we had a lot to eat the day before. I decided to go for a run, at least, and got up after about 30 minutes waiting for Vino to fall asleep again.

Apparently, though, Vino wasn’t able to get back to sleep. I had to make him breakfast first before I left, so he could start his day already.

Once I got back, we were pretty much in relax mode. Che cooked lunch, and we invited a couple of friends over to share it with. After they left, we cleaned up and basically lounged around.

We started watching a new series, Pro Bono. It’s a series from last year, but we never really got around to watching it. For series that are light, we usually default to rom-coms, but we’ve watched enough K-Dramas to let us know that we can enjoy other genres.

There are a couple of law-themed series we wanted to watch, but we opted for this one as it seemed lighter based on the actors.

We weren’t able to go out to attend mass as we planned because Vino fell asleep – a rarity these days.

Instead, we binge-watched our series and had a nice, quiet dinner together. It was a good end to the long weekend, with all of us getting some much-needed rest to get ready for the next week.
