It’s Friday of another full week, and Che will have a long night as she will be in the market for work.
After taking Vino to school, I came home to Che getting ready to leave the house. I did some housekeeping things as always, and not really exciting.
As I was picking Vino up, Che said we should get some afternoon snacks since she’ll be home late. The idea was for us to get some cake, then she would leave to go to the market.
When I told Vino this, he asked if we could get Yakiniku Like instead. Meanwhile, Che thought that it might be too tight for us to have a snack, so she said we could just go home. However, I guess she was also interested in some Yakiniku Like, so she said we should go to Vivo.
Vino loves barbecue pork, whether Korean or Japanese. He tends to eat a lot when we go here, so we’re fine to oblige requests like these.
Che had to rush back while Vino and I stayed behind. Since we were already in Vivo, I asked him if we could walk around first. He countered by asking to play in the playground.
At first, he was just climbing the slides, then he came to me asking to play on the trampoline. Apparently, he made a friend.
After he played, he said he met that kid on the fireman’s pole, and they talked. Then the guy said, “do you want to be friends?” And he said, “sure!”
He never got the kid’s name, but he asked to go home after he went home. I said we still haven’t walked inside.
I introduced him to the concept of window-shopping. Due to the nature of my work back in the Philippines, I frequented groceries to keep up with the new products that come out. Despite identifying as an extrovert, I do enjoy my time alone.
When I’m alone walking around a mall, I would frequent tech shops just to check out the latest gadgets that come out. I never had the money to buy those things, but it’s always just nice to see what new technological advances there are.
Vino was fine with this concept, knowing full well we don’t have the intention of buying anything. We saw the Samsung tri-fold, which was amazing – but not amazing enough for me to want to buy it. It’s way too big, I feel like. If anything, maybe the upcoming Fold 8 would be something I’d be interested in.
We walked to a gaming shop before heading home. I guess he really wanted to go home because he didn’t even ask to walk to Toys R’ Us.
I showed him an alternative bus route we could take from Vivo. It took a while because we weren’t able to catch both of the buses that we needed to take.
We went home and just lounged around the living room. For dinner, I asked if he liked pizza. I initially wanted Shakey’s, but it was going to be too expensive to order for delivery. Instead, we went to our other go-to, Dominos.
He had the Hawaiian pizza, while I had the Extavaganza, which had a lot of veggies like my favorite Belly Buster (which I feel is a more loaded Manager’s Choice). We watched Hell’s Kitchen in the background.
We went back to the room to get ready to sleep. Che was still working, so I told Vino he shouldn’t wait for her anymore. I actually fell asleep a bit while we were playing Roblox, so we just watched something on TV until he chose to sleep.
Meanwhile, Che arrived close to 12 midnight, still hungry because they apparently didn’t have time for dinner. After she ate something from the pantry, we went to bed while playing a mystery documentary on Netflix.
It was a good close to the week, and we’re looking forward to resting a lot this weekend.
