Spent more time this day outside than in the house.
I planned on dropping off my mom’s bag to my cousin-in-law, Tin over at Sengkang. Singapore is not a big country, and you can practically reach a lot of its corners via public transport.
Still, the travel was kinda far. What I like about these long travels is that I get to see different neighborhoods that I don’t usually pass by.
To reach their place, I had to take an LRT after taking the MRT. The LRT passed by some bodies of water, unlike the city experience we usually have.
So my mom was gifted a bag, but it got stained and she hasn’t used it since. She had the idea of getting her bag painted by Tin, who is an amazing artist and art teacher.
I didn’t want to be constantly followed up about the status of the bag, so I just sent it off to get that done. I planned on just dropping the bag off and letting Tin go by her day, but we sat for a while to catch up a bit about what’s been going on in life.
Sadly, despite writing a daily blog, taking photos still isn’t a big part of my routine when meeting people. Hence, the only memory I got of meeting Tin this day is the cover photo of me going home from Fernvale.
I decided to get some things done at Star Vista while waiting for Vino to finish school. He had a football club session, so I had about three hours to spare while waiting.

I never had a problem with waiting. Even when meeting friends, I would sometimes be the first person to arrive, and it really isn’t a big deal for me. As I said before, I love being around people, but I love the freedom of being alone as well.
Before heading out to Vino, I ordered a burger for him so that he could have a snack after his club. At around this time, Che messaged me that Vino was invited to play a game on Saturday, but we had to buy him white socks.
So after I picked up Vino, I told him we’d drop our stuff at home, then head over to pick up Che in the office.
We’ve been to Che’s office often enough for the receptionists to recognize us. Even in her office in Vietnam, the security guard never lets me register myself anymore because she knows where I’m going already.
While waiting, I saw a couple of familiar faces I greeted and of course, we’d get our drink fix.
It wouldn’t take long for Che to come out, but she had to finish a couple of things, so Vino and I were still able to play their foosball in the cafeteria.
Later, we went to Vivo to get Vino some socks. We checked out a couple of shops to find a good one, but with that getting done so quick, we thought it would be nice to catch a movie because Vino suddenly asked for popcorn.
We checked out the movie timings and saw that Lilo & Stitch had a screening in about an hour from that time.
We decided to book our tickets and eat first so that we’ll only have popcorn in the movie.
The live-action Lilo & Stitch didn’t have the same storyline as the cartoon one (not that I remember) but I felt it was good casting overall and a nice, feel-good movie that didn’t require a lot of thought.
It’s just a nice movie to catch on a weekday despite Che coming from work.
I feel that watching movies doesn’t suit Vino’s attention span too much because of the single thing he has to do for quite a while. So it’s a small win to get him to sit down and watch a full movie and actually understand what’s going on.

We got home late again on a school night, but considering what we were able to accomplish, it was well worth it for the day.
